Effective this Friday, the following often neglected e-mail aliases will be purged:
catch-all
mailer-daemon
root
postmaster
Users typically ignore changing these e-mail addresses (or removing them) and as a result, servers turn into spam blackholes. On average, over 80% of users keep the default catch-all alias. Because a blackhole is created, servers passively accept all e-mails whether or not that user exists on your account. E-mails pile up in the main user's spool and the site goes over quota. This also creates a potential mini denial of service attack on the server.
IMPORTANT: If you use any of these aliases, please file a ticket for us to spare them BEFORE Friday.
