In order to help expedite the final move, the Web server and e-mail server on Sprite are going down at this time; please refrain from filing trouble tickets in regards to that. This will be deleted once the process is complete in a couple of hours.

The process lasted from approximately 11:30 PM until 2:30 AM EDT (-0400 GMT).

Three complications became apparent in the morning once everyone noticed the changes:

Primary passwords were not properly synchronized
Paths were not updated on certain files
Subdomains were dropped on synchronizing

Issue one has been resolved fully, so that should no longer be a problem.

Paths have been updated on a per-request basis. On all of the other server
moves, path updates worked fine, but on this instance, paths were left to the
old ones, so if you used /home/virtual/siteNN/ on any
configuration, replace NN with the new site number. You may find this value in the control panel at http://yourdomain.com/cpadmin/

Subdomains can be re-enabled by selecting "Manage Users" from within the control panel, editing the user, and ticking the subdomain option.

If you are experiencing any further problems, feel free to file a trouble ticket and the problem will be taken care of immediately.

Sprite is going to be retired on the 31st (this Sunday) and hopefully everyone's individual issues have been resolved during the move. There's one interesting tidbit though that I've run into with a customer's account with MovableType and that is the login process is dying abruptly and throwing a 550 Internal Server Error. If you're in the same boat on Kernel, then file a trouble ticket and let me know. As far as I know at this point, it happens with the MySQL DBI driver as the preferred storage medium and appears to have impacted only one person at this point. Again, double check your MovableType installation if you're using it and report any feedback to me in this thread, via trouble ticket, pm, or whatever is preferrable.

One last backup of Sprite's data was done yesterday to Kernel. I'll be clearing that out in the middle of August to make way for Kernel's nightly backups onto the third drive, so if you notice anything odd with your domain on the new server, let me know before then.
